Europol Announces More DDoS Service Takedowns, Arrests

Regulation enforcement companies proceed to focus on DDoS-for-hire companies, with Europol asserting extra takedowns and arrests this week.

For years, regulation enforcement authorities in North America, Europe and the APAC area have labored collectively to disrupt companies that allow anybody to launch DDoS assaults in opposition to specified on-line companies. These DDoS-for-hire companies, also referred to as booter companies, allow customers to disrupt a web site, in some instances for just some {dollars}.

Dozens of such web sites have been shut down over the previous years and several other people have been arrested as a part of an operation dubbed PowerOFF.

The most recent motion was introduced by Europol on Wednesday. In line with the company, six extra DDoS assault web sites have been shut down, particularly Cfxapi, Cfxsecurity, Neostress, Jetstress, Quickdown and Zapcut.

These companies have been used between 2022 and 2025 to conduct assaults in opposition to gaming platforms, companies, authorities organizations and colleges.

Along with the takedowns, 4 people accused of working a community of platforms used for hundreds of DDoS assaults have been arrested in Poland. 

Along with Poland, authorities within the Netherlands, US and Germany have been concerned on this operation.
