Major Cybersecurity M&A Deals in January 2026

Major Cybersecurity M&A Deals in January 2026

Posted on February 9, 2026 By CWS

In January 2026, the cybersecurity sector witnessed a significant wave of merger and acquisition (M&A) activities, with a total of 34 deals announced. This follows a year where over 420 such transactions were recorded in 2025, indicating a continuing trend of consolidation and strategic growth within the industry.

Notable among these developments is CrowdStrike’s acquisition strategy. The company, listed on NASDAQ as CRWD, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire two firms: the US-based SGNL, known for its continuous identity and dynamic authorization solutions, and Israel-based Seraphic Security, which specializes in browser runtime security. These acquisitions, valued at $740 million and $420 million respectively, aim to bolster CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform by integrating advanced web and AI interaction security features.

Delinea and Infoblox Strengthen Their Portfolios

Delinea, a firm specializing in privileged access management (PAM) and identity security, is in the process of acquiring StrongDM. This acquisition is intended to enhance Delinea’s capabilities by combining PAM with just-in-time runtime authorization and universal access management, targeting improvements for hybrid and cloud environments.

Meanwhile, Infoblox has set its sights on Brazil-based Axur, a provider of external threat protection. This strategic move aims to improve Infoblox’s ability to detect and mitigate brand abuse, phishing, and other fraudulent activities, enhancing its preemptive security offerings.

Strategic Acquisitions by JumpCloud and Diligent

JumpCloud, a platform focused on identity and device management, has acquired MacSolution, a managed service provider based in Brazil. This acquisition is part of JumpCloud’s efforts to establish a strategic hub in São Paulo, which is expected to accelerate IT modernization and enhance enterprise readiness.

In another significant move, Diligent, a governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) company, acquired 3rdRisk from the Netherlands. This acquisition is designed to integrate automated vendor due diligence and AI-driven assessments into Diligent’s offerings, enhancing risk management visibility from the boardroom to the supply chain.

Expanding Horizons for OneSpan, OVHcloud, and Radware

OneSpan, which focuses on authentication and mobile security, plans to acquire Munich-based Build38. This acquisition aims to expand OneSpan’s App Shielding capabilities with advanced in-app and AI-integrated technologies, offering improved mobile threat protection.

OVHcloud, a major European cloud provider, has acquired Seald, a Paris-based company specializing in end-to-end encryption. This acquisition is expected to integrate Seald’s encryption solutions directly into OVHcloud’s service offerings, enhancing data security.

Radware, known for application and API security, has acquired Israeli startup Pynt. This acquisition is set to enhance Radware’s API security portfolio with Pynt’s automated testing and vulnerability discovery capabilities, providing comprehensive protection throughout the API lifecycle.

Future Implications and Industry Outlook

The series of acquisitions announced in January 2026 underscores the dynamic nature of the cybersecurity industry as companies seek to fortify their positions and expand their technological capabilities. These strategic moves are likely to influence the competitive landscape, drive innovation, and improve security solutions for businesses globally.

As the industry continues to evolve, stakeholders anticipate further consolidation and technological advancements that will shape the future of cybersecurity. The ongoing focus on integrating advanced security measures and enhancing operational efficiencies will play a crucial role in addressing the ever-growing challenges posed by cyber threats.
