Steelmaker Nucor Says Hackers Stole Data in Recent Attack

American metal large Nucor Company (NYSE: NUE) has shared an replace on the current cyberattack, confirming that hackers have taken some knowledge from its programs.

Nucor, which claims to be the biggest metal producer and recycler in North America, disclosed the cybersecurity incident in mid-Could. 

The assault concerned unauthorized entry to IT programs and resulted in some programs being taken offline and the non permanent halting of sure manufacturing operations. 

Nucor on Friday shared an replace on the incident in a submitting with the Securities and Trade Fee (SEC). The corporate’s investigation confirmed that the risk actor managed to exfiltrate “restricted knowledge” from the compromised IT programs.
