Prosper Data Breach Impacts 17.6 Million Accounts

Greater than 17 million people have been seemingly impacted by a knowledge breach at peer-to-peer lending market Prosper, knowledge breach notification service Have I Been Pwned warns.

Prosper disclosed the incident final month, noting that hackers accessed its community and stole confidential, proprietary, and private info from its techniques.

In response to the US-based firm, the attackers queried its database containing buyer info and applicant knowledge to exfiltrate the data, however didn’t entry person accounts.

“There isn’t a proof of unauthorized entry to buyer accounts and funds, and our customer-facing operations proceed uninterrupted,” Prosper stated.
