Trent AI Launches with $13M Seed Funding Boost

Posted on April 7, 2026 By CWS

Trent AI, a UK-based cybersecurity company, has officially launched with a substantial $13 million in seed funding. This financial backing has been secured to bolster their innovative platform focused on securing AI agents throughout their lifecycle, a critical need in today’s rapidly evolving tech landscape.

Investment and Support

The funding round received significant contributions from LocalGlobe and Cambridge Innovation Capital, alongside support from various angel investors. This financial influx is set to drive the company’s growth and development initiatives significantly.

Trent AI, founded in 2025 by former leaders from AWS’s engineering team, is headquartered in London. The startup aims to address the evolving security needs of AI agents with a sophisticated platform designed to shield these agents throughout their operational phases.

Innovative Security Platform

Trent AI’s solution is tailored for developers and organizations involved in creating AI agents and autonomous software, addressing vulnerabilities that these systems may introduce. The platform features a multi-agent security system that adapts and learns, enhancing its protective measures over time.

The security solution operates continuously to monitor models, evaluating code, infrastructure, and runtime behavior to identify risks and ensure compliance with security standards. This proactive approach aims to fortify the security of AI systems against emerging threats.

Future Prospects and Strategic Goals

With the new funding, Trent AI plans to advance its AI agent technology further, expand its engineering team, and enhance its market presence. CEO Eno Thereska highlighted the urgency of developing security frameworks for AI systems, emphasizing Trent AI’s commitment to addressing these challenges.

“Organizations are integrating AI agents at a pace that outstrips their current security capabilities. Our mission is to provide robust security infrastructure to support these advancements now and in the future,” Thereska stated.

Trent AI’s emergence aligns with broader industry trends, where significant investments are being made in AI-driven technology, underscoring the importance of cybersecurity in this domain.
