Link11 Launches Technical Hub in Lisbon for Enhanced Security

Link11 Launches Technical Hub in Lisbon for Enhanced Security

Posted on May 27, 2026 By CWS

Link11, a prominent European IT security firm, is taking significant strides in reinforcing digital sovereignty by establishing a new ‘Technical Customer Excellence Hub’ in Lisbon. This strategic relocation of its technical customer service operations to the European Union underscores the company’s dedication to meeting stringent regulatory requirements in the region.

Addressing Regulatory Demands

With the establishment of the Lisbon hub, Link11 is positioning itself to comply with tightened regulatory standards in the European market. Jens-Philipp Jung, CEO of Link11, explained that the new hub is a strategic response to the evolving regulatory landscape, ensuring compliance with regulations such as DORA, NIS2, and the KRITIS umbrella law. Starting in the fourth quarter of 2026, the Lisbon team will handle the bulk of technical support, prioritizing compliance for industries with stringent regulations.

Commitment to European Data Sovereignty

Link11’s initiative highlights its commitment to European data sovereignty, aligning with the expectations of its regulated customers. Marc Lamik, Chief Product Officer, emphasized the importance of this move in bolstering both customer resilience and the broader economic landscape. By focusing on European data sovereignty, Link11 aims to provide reliable and transparent services, reinforcing its strategic position as a European provider.

The Lisbon facility is not merely another location; it represents a transformation of customer service into an excellence team capable of managing complex incidents around the clock, enhancing overall service delivery and technical expertise across Europe.

Strategic Advantage of Lisbon Location

The choice of Lisbon is part of Link11’s broader strategy to leverage top-tier technical talent and emphasize its commitment to offering European-centric services. As the Managing Director, Marc Lamik will lead the development and recruitment efforts in Portugal, highlighting the strategic importance of this move. The hub’s location allows Link11 to tap into a rich talent pool, capable of providing multilingual support in German, English, and Portuguese, which is crucial for the diverse European market.

This strategic investment in in-house security engineers, as opposed to relying on third-party providers, ensures that the team is well-versed in Link11’s AI-powered solutions, delivering optimal support to customers.

By the fourth quarter of 2026, the Lisbon hub will exclusively handle support for clients in critical infrastructure, financial sectors, and security-sensitive industries, operating under the comprehensive EU legal framework. This shift eliminates third-country risks and simplifies compliance procedures.

Link11 continues to uphold its reputation as a leading provider of IT security solutions, safeguarding global infrastructure and web applications against cyber threats. Adhering to the highest data security standards, Link11 remains at the forefront of protecting critical infrastructure from disruptions.
