Canadian Cybersecurity Leaders Shine at Web Summit Vancouver

Posted on July 14, 2026 By CWS

Canadian cybersecurity companies celebrated a resounding success at Web Summit Vancouver 2026, held from May 11 to 14 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. This landmark event, organized by the Canadian Cyber Zone, brought together leaders in cybersecurity, quantum security, and international innovation, emphasizing the strengthening ties between Canada and Korea.

Strengthening Canada-Korea Cybersecurity Collaboration

The Canadian Cyber Zone, presented by In-Sec-M, offered a unique platform for Canadian firms to connect with Korean technology leaders. This collaboration was highlighted by the participation of the Korea–Canada Blockchain & Cybersecurity Alliance (KCBCA), fostering cross-border partnerships in cybersecurity, blockchain infrastructure, and digital assets.

Among the notable attendees was Dr. Legend, also known as JeonSur, a celebrated Korean artist whose K-ART performance blended art and technology, underscoring the cultural dimension of such international gatherings.

Showcasing Diverse Cybersecurity Expertise

Canadian participants included Green Hat Security, known for its fractional security leadership and compliance services, and Quantropi, a developer of quantum-secure cryptographic technology. Other key players were Forward Security, focusing on application and cloud security, and Eureka DevSecOps, providing comprehensive application security posture solutions.

These organizations demonstrated Canada’s vast cybersecurity landscape, ranging from quantum-resistant encryption to robust defense-sector cybersecurity, showcasing the full lifecycle of security solutions.

Future Prospects and Continued Collaboration

The success of this year’s summit has set the stage for an expanded presence at Web Summit Vancouver 2027. Participating companies are eager to build on current partnerships and welcome new collaborators, reinforcing cybersecurity as a critical pillar for international trade and investment.

By leveraging the connections established this year, Canadian and Korean companies aim to explore joint initiatives and market-entry opportunities, further solidifying their strategic collaboration.

Overall, the event highlighted the potential of international technology events to transcend business boundaries, fostering creativity and cultural exchange while promoting robust cybersecurity ecosystems.
