Oak Secures Million for AI Identity System

Oak Secures $60 Million for AI Identity System

Posted on July 16, 2026 By CWS

Oak, an innovative cybersecurity startup based in Israel, has successfully raised $60 million in seed funding to advance its AI-driven Identity Operating System. This funding round was prominently supported by Accel, Greylock Partners, and CRV, with further contributions from Hetz Ventures, AlphaDrive Ventures, and several angel investors.

Strong Backing and Vision

Established in late 2025, Oak operates out of Tel Aviv and San Francisco. The company has developed a platform designed to unify identity governance under a single, constantly evolving control plane. This solution is poised to replace outdated identity governance and security tools by offering a comprehensive service covering all human, AI, and machine identities within an organization’s infrastructure.

The platform’s capability to integrate with organizational applications across various environments, including cloud, on-premises, SaaS, and custom systems, allows for the rapid creation of connectors. By leveraging raw evidence instead of static records, it provides a dynamic understanding of identity usage.

Comprehensive Identity Governance

Oak’s system offers a detailed map of identity access and utilization, delivering governance throughout the identity lifecycle. This is enhanced by AI-driven real-time risk assessments and remediation strategies. The platform’s availability marks a significant leap forward in identity management, addressing the challenges faced by organizations using multiple disconnected tools.

Co-founders Shai Morag, with a history of successful ventures such as Integrity-Project and Ermetic, and Tal Marom, formerly of Tenable and Salesforce, have steered Oak towards addressing these critical industry needs. Marom emphasized the industry’s need for a consolidated solution, akin to the consolidation seen in cloud security stacks.

Future Prospects and Industry Impact

Oak’s emergence from stealth mode represents a pivotal moment for identity management in cybersecurity. As organizations increasingly manage complex identity environments, Oak’s platform is positioned to become an integral tool for security teams striving to safeguard enterprise systems.

Looking ahead, Oak’s platform is expected to set a new standard in identity governance, providing a seamless and efficient solution for managing access across diverse digital landscapes. This development could significantly enhance the capabilities of security teams in defending against emerging threats.
