HiddenLayer Secures $100M to Enhance AI Security

Posted on September 3, 2026 By CWS

HiddenLayer, a prominent player in the AI security landscape, announced on Wednesday the successful acquisition of $100 million in a Series B funding round. This new capital injection elevates the company’s total funding to over $155 million, underscoring its rapid growth and commitment to AI security.

Enhancing AI Application Security

Founded in 2022 and based in Austin, HiddenLayer is dedicated to safeguarding the lifecycle of agentic, generative, and predictive AI applications. The company’s efforts focus on shielding these AI agents from the dynamic and evolving threats they face.

The enterprise platform offered by HiddenLayer includes comprehensive solutions such as discovery, AI supply chain security, attack simulation, and runtime protection. These features aim to facilitate compliance, promote safe AI adoption, and protect valuable intellectual property.

Investment in Advanced Security Capabilities

With the newly acquired funds, HiddenLayer plans to enhance its platform by integrating advanced agentic runtime security features. These developments are designed to encompass AI coding agents and provide enterprises with deeper insights into AI agent behaviors during production.

Such enhancements will aid in identifying and mitigating anomalous activities, including manipulation, misuse, and unauthorized actions. Additionally, the company seeks to bolster the security of autonomous agents responsible for code writing, reviewing, and deployment, with minimal human intervention.

Strategic Funding and Future Goals

According to Chris Sestito, co-founder and CEO of HiddenLayer, the company has long been committed to pioneering secure AI usage for enterprises, anticipating the urgency that many organizations are only now recognizing. This funding will support the growth of a specialized team and platform essential for maintaining trust as agentic AI becomes integral to enterprise operations.

The Series B funding round was led by Delta-v Capital, with contributions from Booz Allen Ventures, Microsoft’s Venture Fund M12, Morgan Stanley, and Ten Eleven Ventures, reflecting strong investor confidence in HiddenLayer’s mission and technological advancements.

Related news highlights further investments in AI security, such as Alice raising $140 million for AI model defenses and Prevalent AI securing $22 million to expand its data fabric platform. These developments collectively indicate a growing focus on fortifying AI systems across industries.
