Hackuity, a firm specializing in vulnerability management, has successfully raised $19 million in funding. This latest round was spearheaded by Forgepoint Capital, elevating the company’s total funding to $38 million.
Expansion and Technological Advancements
Based in Lyon, France, Hackuity intends to leverage this investment to advance the development of its vulnerability operations platform. The company aims to enhance its artificial intelligence features and broaden its reach across Europe and Asia.
The platform developed by Hackuity integrates and normalizes data from over 130 security tools, combining threat intelligence with business context. This approach enables organizations to prioritize security vulnerabilities that pose the greatest risk.
Innovative Scoring and Coordination
Hackuity’s scoring engine evaluates various factors such as the severity and exploitability of vulnerabilities, the criticality of assets, and potential business impacts. This allows for coordinated remediation efforts across multiple teams, including security, IT, cloud, and engineering.
The company’s innovation addresses the increasing number of vulnerabilities and security issues generated by diverse sources including scanners, cloud security products, and AI systems.
Strategic Vision and Market Dynamics
CEO and co-founder Patrick Ragaru highlighted that Hackuity was established on the premise that the volume of vulnerabilities would surpass what organizations could manage manually. He emphasized that the new generation of AI-driven security models is expediting this trend, necessitating automated prioritization and remediation.
Founded in 2018, Hackuity had previously secured approximately $13 million in a Series A funding round in 2022, led by Sonae IM, now Bright Pixel Capital. Existing investors Bright Pixel Capital, Bpifrance, and Seventure Partners also contributed to the latest funding round.
This strategic investment underscores Hackuity’s commitment to innovation in the cybersecurity space and its efforts to expand its market presence internationally.
