Zast.AI Secures Million for Advanced Code Security

Zast.AI Secures $6 Million for Advanced Code Security

Posted on February 11, 2026 By CWS

Cybersecurity firm Zast.AI has successfully raised $6 million in a recent funding round, elevating its total capital to nearly $10 million. This fresh investment, described as a pre-Series A round, was spearheaded by Hillhouse Capital.

Innovative Approach to Cybersecurity

Established in Seattle in 2024, Zast.AI employs cutting-edge AI agents to detect and verify software vulnerabilities, aiming to minimize false positives. Utilizing an ‘automated PoC generation and validation’ framework, the company conducts comprehensive code analyses, producing proof-of-concept exploits and executing them to confirm potential security issues.

This methodology, which aims for ‘zero false positives,’ helps reduce alert fatigue, allowing security teams to concentrate on actual threats. The startup’s AI agents are capable of identifying intricate semantic vulnerabilities such as IDOR and privilege escalation, as well as standard syntax issues like SQL injection.

Impact on Software Security

So far, Zast.AI has pinpointed 127 vulnerabilities in widely used products including Microsoft Azure SDK, Apache Struts XWork, Koa, and WordPress. According to the company, each identified issue has been assigned a CVE, thereby enhancing the security of the open-source software landscape.

Co-founder and CEO Geng Yang emphasized the company’s commitment to reporting only verified vulnerabilities. He stated, “Our vision is to create a comprehensive AI-driven security platform that provides top-notch security assurance for development teams at a minimal cost.”

Future Prospects

With this new funding, Zast.AI is poised to advance its technology and expand its capabilities. The company aims to continue its mission of delivering high-quality security solutions, ultimately aiming to establish a robust AI-powered security framework that can be adopted by development teams worldwide.

As the cybersecurity landscape evolves, Zast.AI’s innovative approach and recent financial boost position it as a key player in the field of AI-driven security solutions.
