Poland Arrested Suspected Russian Citizen Hacking for Local Organizations Computer Networks

Polish authorities have arrested a Russian citizen suspected of conducting unauthorized cyberattacks towards the pc networks of native organizations.

The arrest marks a big improvement within the nation’s efforts to fight cybercrime focusing on Polish and European companies.

On November 16, 2025, officers from the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime, working below the Krakow District Prosecutor’s Workplace, detained the suspect.

In response to authorities, the person illegally entered Poland in 2022 and obtained refugee standing in 2023. The suspect has since been accused of finishing up refined cyberattacks towards a number of targets.
