NDSS Symposium 2027 Set for Seoul Launch

Posted on June 30, 2026 By CWS

The Internet Society has revealed that the 2027 Network and Distributed System Security (NDSS) Symposium will be held in Seoul, South Korea, from March 22 to March 26, 2027. This announcement was made on June 30, 2026, in Washington, D.C., by CyberNewswire.

Significance of the NDSS Symposium

As one of the premier cybersecurity research gatherings globally, the NDSS Symposium attracts a multitude of experts from across the globe. The event is renowned for disseminating pioneering research in network and distributed systems security. Its relocation to Seoul underscores the interconnected nature of the Internet and the vital work being done worldwide to secure it.

In 2026, the Symposium saw participation from 674 individuals spanning 33 nations, with a notable increase in attendees from the Asia-Pacific region by over 60% in the last three years alone. This trend highlights the Symposium’s growing international appeal and influence.

Seoul: A Hub for Cybersecurity Innovation

Dr. Joseph Lorenzo Hall, a Distinguished Technologist at the Internet Society, emphasized the importance of hosting the Symposium in Seoul. He noted that the event’s proximity to a burgeoning center of technological advancements would bolster global collaboration and idea exchange, crucial for enhancing Internet security.

Reports from Internet Society Pulse and the ITU’s Global Connectivity Report 2025 identify the Asia-Pacific region as a rapidly expanding Internet market. Seoul’s advanced infrastructure, esteemed universities, and dynamic tech scene make it an optimal location for fostering global discourse on cybersecurity.

Looking Forward to NDSS Symposium 2027

The NDSS Symposium 2027 is anticipated to further the dialogue on Internet security with its scheduled dates in March 2027. Registration for the event will commence in October 2026, providing ample time for interested parties to prepare for participation.

With over thirty years of history, the NDSS Symposium, hosted by the Internet Society, continues to be a leading platform for the exchange of ideas among network and distributed systems security professionals.

The Internet Society, established in 1992, remains committed to ensuring a universally accessible Internet. Through its global network of members and chapters, the organization advocates for policies and standards that sustain an open and secure Internet.
