Comp AI Secures $34M to Enhance AI-Driven Compliance

Posted on September 17, 2026 By CWS

Comp AI, a startup specializing in AI-native compliance and security, has secured $34 million in a Series A funding round. This latest investment boosts the company’s total capital to over $36 million, marking a significant milestone in its growth trajectory.

AI-Powered Governance and Compliance

Launched in January 2025, Comp AI is headquartered in Florida and focuses on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) automation. The platform utilizes artificial intelligence to streamline manual tasks, helping organizations adapt to changing compliance demands efficiently.

The widespread integration of AI in business environments is transforming compliance management. Comp AI’s AI-driven solutions facilitate validation without the need for constant human oversight, thereby enhancing operational efficiency.

Expanding Capabilities with New Funding

With the rise of AI-driven software development, Comp AI plans to leverage its recent funding to broaden its platform’s scope. The company aims to integrate continuous cybersecurity features, including real-time monitoring and control validation, to safeguard applications and infrastructure.

The Series A funding round was led by Roo Capital and Grand Ventures. This financial backing will enable Comp AI to accelerate its expansion efforts and recruit talent in key areas such as customer success, engineering, marketing, operations, product development, and sales in Miami and New York.

Future Prospects and Vision

Lewis Carhart, CEO and co-founder of Comp AI, emphasized the transformative potential of agentic AI in compliance software. According to Carhart, while first-generation compliance tools demonstrated automation capabilities, current AI technologies allow for more comprehensive risk management strategies that adapt to changing business needs.

Carhart elaborated, “We began by making compliance processes faster and less resource-intensive. Our goal now is to develop a platform that proactively identifies, validates, and responds to risk in real-time.”

As Comp AI continues to innovate, the startup is poised to play a pivotal role in the evolving landscape of AI-powered compliance and cybersecurity solutions.
