SCALR AI: A Free AI Platform for Security Teams

SCALR AI: A Free AI Platform for Security Teams

Posted on August 31, 2026 By CWS

Security Risk Advisors (SRA), known for their VECTR platform, have announced a new addition to their suite of free tools: SCALR AI. This innovative AI-driven platform is now accessible to security teams via the Azure Marketplace, offering enhanced efficiency at no cost.

Features and Benefits of SCALR AI

SCALR AI serves as an agentive workbench, automating labor-intensive security tasks. It includes comprehensive incident triage and enrichment capabilities, supported by AI-powered quality reviews. Remarkably, there are no limitations on the free license for local use, allowing CISO teams to implement the platform within their Azure private tenant seamlessly.

The platform enables security teams to develop additional workflows using its integrated tools, covering areas such as threat hunting, vulnerability management, and phishing analysis. Instead of manually creating each workflow, teams can configure multi-agent workflows, utilizing agents, tools, and MCP servers collaboratively.

Deployment and Cost Management

SCALR AI is designed to operate within a customer’s Azure tenant, ensuring that security data and AI workflows remain within the customer’s environment, not a shared SaaS instance. This setup provides transparency in cost management, allowing teams to track and control expenses associated with each workflow, agent, and model.

The platform supports existing LLMs used by security teams, eliminating the need to rely on a single model. Users only incur costs for Azure compute resources as billed by Microsoft, avoiding the hefty combined fees typical of other AI security platforms.

Addressing Market Confusion

Tim Wainwright, CEO of Security Risk Advisors, emphasized the platform’s role in resolving the overwhelming choices in the SOC AI market. With over 70 commercial options available, SCALR AI offers a straightforward, no-cost alternative that empowers teams to build and own their capabilities without the burden of procurement cycles.

According to Mike Pinch, CTO of SRA, SCALR AI redefines AI in the SOC by acting as digital workers rather than mere chatbots. This approach ensures that specialized agents respond effectively to incidents and events, delivering consistent results beyond what a traditional chatbot can achieve.

Future Outlook

SCALR AI is available with a zero-dollar license fee, with users only responsible for their Azure compute costs. Those interested in accessing SCALR AI can complete a form at sra.io/scalr-ai for more information. Security Risk Advisors continues to lead in cybersecurity innovation, helping organizations enhance their security posture against evolving threats.
