August 2026 ICS Patch Tuesday: Siemens, Schneider, Phoenix Contact Updates

August 2026 ICS Patch Tuesday: Siemens, Schneider, Phoenix Contact Updates

Posted on August 12, 2026 By CWS

In August 2026, leading industrial companies Siemens, Schneider Electric, and Phoenix Contact released Patch Tuesday advisories detailing crucial security updates for their Industrial Control Systems (ICS). These updates are designed to address vulnerabilities that could potentially impact critical infrastructure.

Siemens Addresses Critical Vulnerabilities

Siemens has issued 10 advisories this month, highlighting a significant missing-authentication vulnerability in its Simatic IoT2050 Advanced devices. This flaw allows unauthorized remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on servers with elevated privileges.

Additionally, Siemens resolved a critical code execution vulnerability in its Siveillance Video Management Servers. Other high-severity vulnerabilities were patched in Solid Edge, Simcenter Nastran, Siemens License Server, and other products, which could be exploited for unauthorized code execution and information access.

Schneider Electric’s Security Enhancements

Schneider Electric published advisories for vulnerabilities in its NetBotz 5 and PowerChute Serial Shutdown products. NetBotz received fixes for code and command execution issues, while PowerChute addressed a flaw related to excessive authentication attempts that risked system disruption and data access.

These updates are part of Schneider Electric’s ongoing commitment to enhance the security of its products and protect users from potential cyber threats.

Phoenix Contact and Additional Industry Updates

Phoenix Contact released an advisory for vulnerabilities in its PLCnext firmware. These vulnerabilities could lead to denial-of-service conditions or allow attackers to execute malicious SQL queries.

Additional advisories were issued by Honeywell for building management systems and by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) covering products from Pulsetto, Mira, and Johnson Controls.

The release of these advisories emphasizes the importance of regular software updates in maintaining ICS security and safeguarding against potential cyber attacks.

Going forward, organizations are encouraged to promptly apply these patches to fortify their systems against these identified vulnerabilities, ensuring the integrity and safety of their industrial operations.
