Corma Secures $60M to Enhance Cybersecurity with AI

Posted on August 11, 2026 By CWS

Corma has successfully raised $60 million to advance its AI-driven cybersecurity solutions. Emerging from stealth on Monday, the company is focused on developing a foundational model specifically for defensive cybersecurity, addressing the growing need for sophisticated threat detection and neutralization.

Significant Investment and Strategic Locations

Based in both Tel Aviv and San Francisco, Corma was established in 2025 with Alon Pluda at the helm as CEO. The recent seed funding, totaling $60 million, was contributed by prominent investors such as Sequoia Capital, Khosla Ventures, and Coatue, highlighting the confidence in Corma’s potential to revolutionize cybersecurity.

Innovative AI Model for Security Operations

Corma’s AI model is uniquely designed for defensive cybersecurity tasks, capable of parsing extensive datasets that include system events, audit logs, and network traffic. By meticulously analyzing these datasets, the model can identify subtle anomalies over extended periods, allowing for comprehensive threat assessments.

The technology enables automated agents to seamlessly integrate into existing security frameworks within organizations. These agents work alongside human teams, continuously adapting to their environments to effectively detect and thwart potential threats, including complex, multi-stage cyber intrusions.

Challenges and Future Prospects

Corma has tested its models against those from OpenAI and Anthropic, finding that while these models could simulate end-to-end attacks, they fell short in defense capabilities. CEO Alon Pluda emphasized the importance of a specialized AI workforce, built from the ground up for cybersecurity, to match the speed and sophistication of AI-powered attacks. Corma is committed to ensuring that defenders are equipped to win the ongoing battle against cyber threats.

As Corma continues to develop its technology, its mission remains clear: to provide defenders with the tools needed to match and surpass the capabilities that AI currently affords cyber attackers, ensuring robust and adaptive defense mechanisms for future challenges.
