Ent Launches With $100M to Enhance Endpoint Security

Posted on June 16, 2026 By CWS

San Francisco-based cybersecurity firm Ent has officially launched, armed with an impressive $100 million in seed financing. This strategic investment aims to revolutionize endpoint security by incorporating advanced AI to prevent risky actions before they occur.

Significant Investment for Innovative Security

The substantial seed round, spearheaded by Decibel, included contributions from notable investors such as Sequoia, Crosspoint Capital, Craft Ventures, Shield Capital, Felicis, and In-Q-Tel. The capital injection will bolster Ent’s engineering capabilities and market reach, accelerating the development of its cutting-edge security technology.

Established by cybersecurity veterans Elias Manousos and Brandon Dixon, Ent aims to redefine endpoint protection. Both co-founders bring a wealth of experience, having previously developed RiskIQ, later acquired by Microsoft, where they played a role in launching Microsoft Security Copilot.

Tackling Emerging Cyber Threats

Ent’s platform seeks to address the limitations of existing endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools, which often react post-incident. With the rise of AI-driven automation in enterprises, distinguishing between regular activities and potential threats has become increasingly challenging.

To counter these challenges, Ent introduces a lightweight software agent that applies real-time AI reasoning directly to endpoint devices. This proactive approach evaluates user and agent behavior, enforcing corporate policies and facilitating automated interventions to mitigate risks before they escalate.

Integration and Future Outlook

Designed to seamlessly integrate with existing security architectures, Ent aims to enhance current EDR, SIEM, SOAR, and IAM solutions. CEO Elias Manousos emphasizes the need for a paradigm shift in cybersecurity, highlighting the speed and sophistication of AI-powered threats.

“Traditional security systems often act too late, missing the rapid evolution of AI-driven attacks,” Manousos notes. “Our vision is to understand and intercept intent in real-time, across both human users and AI agents, to prevent incidents before they happen.”

Ent’s launch marks a significant step in evolving cybersecurity measures to meet the demands of modern digital environments, setting the stage for a proactive defense strategy in an era of accelerating technological change.
