San Francisco-based startup Herd Security has successfully raised $3 million in a recent funding round led by Aspiron Ventures. The investment also saw participation from ForwardSlash VC, Forum Ventures, Rightside Capital, Team Ignite, and YPO. The funds are set to enhance Herd’s innovative AI-powered training platform, which aims to bolster security awareness across organizations.
Revolutionizing Security Training
Founded in 2025, Herd Security has developed an AI-driven platform designed to provide ongoing security training and simulations. The platform dynamically adjusts to the changing threat landscape, enabling security and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) teams to deliver engaging microlessons through popular communication tools like Slack, Teams, and learning management systems (LMS).
By tailoring content to specific organizational contexts and active threats, Herd’s solution helps increase security awareness at the employee level. The platform ensures that each interaction serves as a building block in strengthening the human layer of defense within the organization.
Customizable Training Solutions
Herd’s platform allows customers to tailor their training content and scenarios, drawing from existing policies, security data, and compliance frameworks. It quickly generates micro-training modules that are delivered through familiar channels in various formats, including text, images, videos, or conversational AI.
This customization ensures that training is relevant and timely, addressing the specific needs of the organization and its employees. The adaptability of Herd’s platform is a key feature that sets it apart in the security training landscape.
Future Plans and Expansion
With the fresh influx of capital, Herd Security plans to expand its training categories, particularly in human resources and artificial intelligence, and to optimize its video generation capabilities. Additionally, the company aims to grow its partnership ecosystem, further strengthening its market presence.
Brandon Min, co-founder and CEO of Herd Security, emphasized the importance of equipping security professionals with tools that transform their knowledge into engaging, relevant programs. “Herd removes barriers for teams, enabling them to continuously apply their expertise and enhance everyday awareness, matching the speed and scale of emerging risks,” Min stated.
As threats continue to evolve, Herd Security’s approach positions it as a pivotal player in the security training industry, promoting a proactive stance in threat management and response.
