Palo Alto Networks Expands with Embrace Acquisition

Palo Alto Networks Expands with Embrace Acquisition

Posted on July 22, 2026 By CWS

Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ: PANW) has announced its plans to acquire Embrace, a company specializing in user-focused observability. This strategic move aims to integrate Real User Monitoring (RUM) capabilities into Palo Alto Networks’ existing Observability platform. The financial specifics of this acquisition remain undisclosed.

Enhancing Digital Experience Monitoring

In conjunction with the acquisition, Palo Alto Networks has also launched Synthetics, a new feature created by its Autonomous Digital Experience Management (ADEM) team. This innovation is designed to proactively assess application performance from various global locations. The integration of these features expands the company’s Observability platform, providing a comprehensive view that encompasses user interactions, application validation, and backend infrastructure.

Embrace’s RUM technology is tailored for modern cloud-native settings, while Synthetics utilizes Palo Alto Networks’ extensive infrastructure to ensure application availability before issues impact users. This combination aims to offer a holistic perspective on application performance.

Strategic Vision and Technological Integration

Lee Klarich, Chief Product & Technology Officer at Palo Alto Networks, emphasized the importance of a complete view of application performance, from user interaction to backend processes. He noted that integrating these capabilities with the company’s Cortex AgentiX will enable organizations to detect and automatically resolve issues more effectively.

This acquisition builds on Palo Alto Networks’ broader strategy, following its $3.35 billion purchase of Chronosphere in January 2026. The company reports that its observability efforts have already generated over $300 million in annual recurring revenue.

Completion and Future Outlook

The acquisition of Embrace is subject to standard closing conditions and is anticipated to finalize in the first quarter of Palo Alto Networks’ fiscal 2027. This move represents a significant step in Palo Alto Networks’ ongoing expansion within the observability market.

As Palo Alto Networks continues to grow its capabilities, the integration of Embrace and the introduction of Synthetics are expected to enhance the company’s position in digital experience monitoring, offering improved insights and solutions for its clients.
