As cyber threats increasingly harness artificial intelligence, Sevii has taken a significant step forward by expanding its Autonomous Defense & Remediation (ADR) platform with a new AI security module. This development comes at a time when the velocity and breadth of AI-driven attacks necessitate equally rapid defensive measures. The innovative module is designed to provide immediate, autonomous remediation, regardless of the attack’s origin.
Advanced AI Security Module
Sevii’s latest module integrates with the existing ADR platform, receiving alerts from the entire security detection infrastructure of its clients. The module processes these alerts in real time, analyzing them to determine the nature of potential threats. Unlike conventional tools that merely report incidents to a Security Operations Center (SOC), Sevii’s AI module intercepts these reports and reacts instantly using AI-driven speed.
Central to the module’s functionality are its AI agents, referred to as ‘cyber warriors.’ These agents conduct a thorough retrospective analysis over a seven-day period to assess whether an identified action is normal or constitutes an attack. If an attack is confirmed, the agents evaluate its potential spread within the customer’s network, enabling timely remediation actions.
Immediate and Autonomous Remediation
Sevii’s CEO, Curt Aubley, explains that upon detection, the system swiftly determines the legitimacy of the threat, collecting and analyzing all necessary data to reverse-engineer the attack. This rapid response is critical, as AI-driven attacks can occur at machine speed, rendering human intervention impractical in many scenarios.
While some organizations prefer having a ‘human in the loop’ for comfort and compliance reasons, the effectiveness of defense hinges on matching the attack’s speed. This is why Sevii’s system can autonomously stop malicious activities, perform impact analysis, and ensure data protection without delay.
Real-Time Threat Mitigation
An example of Sevii’s proactive approach is seen in its handling of compromised devices. Upon detecting unusual activity, such as a compromised laptop accessing unauthorized systems, the system isolates the device, disables the compromised account, and removes malicious processes. This swift action prevents further spread and secures the network.
The entire remediation process, typically completed within two to fifteen minutes, demonstrates the platform’s capability to reduce downtime significantly. This is crucial, given that AI attacks can span from 30 seconds to 30 minutes, with Sevii’s response time effectively neutralizing threats within that window.
Sevii’s new module exemplifies a strategic advancement in cybersecurity, leveraging AI to meet the demands of increasingly sophisticated threats. As AI continues to evolve, the importance of immediate and autonomous defensive measures will only grow, underscoring the need for innovative solutions like Sevii’s enhanced AI defense platform.
