Sevii Introduces Predictable AI Defense Costs

Sevii Introduces Predictable AI Defense Costs

Posted on April 28, 2026 By CWS

Sevii has unveiled a groundbreaking approach to managing AI defense costs with the launch of its Cyber Swarm Defense (CSD) mode. This novel solution aims to synchronize the need for robust agentic AI security with the constraints of fixed budgets, providing a much-needed balance for Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs).

Challenges in AI Security Budgeting

Security leaders often grapple with inadequate budgets amidst increasing cyber threats. Economic pressures often lead to smaller security teams and greater reliance on automation, including agentic AI, which can be costly. This results in a challenging cycle of budgetary strain as AI costs fluctuate unpredictably with attack frequency.

The traditional model of charging based on AI token usage poses significant budget management challenges. CISOs face unpredictable expenses, especially during simultaneous multi-adversary attacks, where defense costs can spiral out of control due to the high demand for AI tokens.

Sevii’s Innovative Solution

On April 28, 2026, Sevii introduced its CSD mode, integrated into its autonomous defense and remediation (ADR) platform. Unlike conventional models, CSD charges based on the number of assets protected rather than AI token usage. This fixed-price approach allows for predictable budgeting regardless of the number of attacks a company faces.

Curt Aubley, CEO of Sevii, emphasizes that their Cyber Warriors act as an extension of the customer’s team, offering protection across various assets at a set cost. This model ensures that businesses can maintain robust defenses without the fear of budget exhaustion.

Implementing Effective AI Defense

The CSD platform also features Myrmidon Defense Technology, providing governance options for activating Autonomous CSD Mode. Customers can set service level objectives to determine when and how AI agents are deployed, allowing for strategic allocation of resources and prioritization of assets.

This system ensures that less critical assets can be automatically managed, while essential assets are reserved for manual intervention by in-house experts. With predictable costs, CISOs can retain top analysts to handle critical threat remediation.

Future of Cyber Defense

Sevii’s approach offers a compelling solution for organizations anticipating an increase in AI-driven attacks. As Frank Holt, CEO of Synergem Technologies, states, this model allows companies to achieve rapid remediation goals without expanding their workforce or worrying about mid-incident budget depletion.

This development marks a significant shift in cybersecurity strategy, offering predictable, cost-effective defenses that align with organizational needs amidst evolving AI threats.
