Currently in early access, AxoDetect allows Sigma rules to be executed within the data stream, sending alerts to the SIEM while retaining complete logs in AxoLake, a cost-effective security data repository.

AxoDetect addresses this by processing clean, standardized security data directly in the pipeline, ensuring that SIEM systems are reserved for essential operational tasks rather than expansive data storage.

Unveiled at Splunk .conf26, AxoDetect emerges as a pivotal component of Axoflow’s offerings, running client-specific rules on normalized data before they enter the SIEM. This innovative approach challenges the long-standing practice of using SIEMs principally for log management, redirecting their utility towards more strategic SecOps functions.

Enhanced Visibility and Efficiency

By integrating detection capabilities within the data stream, AxoDetect provides unparalleled visibility over data inflows, detection source allocations, and rule-data alignment. This functionality simplifies what was once a convoluted inter-team process, traditionally reliant on cumbersome patchwork solutions.

The platform’s architecture ensures that detection activities are situated within the data layer, optimizing the use of resources before data reaches the SIEM, thus reducing costs significantly. For instance, a major industrial firm reported a 50% reduction in SIEM expenses and an 85% decrease in resolution times.
