Sentra Secures $150M to Enhance AI Data Security

Posted on November 4, 2026 By CWS

Sentra, a leading company in AI-driven data security, has announced the acquisition of $150 million in a Series C funding round. This recent investment elevates Sentra’s total funding to over $260 million, marking a significant milestone for the company established in 2021.

Investment Led by Industry Leaders

The funding round was spearheaded by Capital One Ventures, with continued backing from existing investors such as Bessemer Venture Partners, Key1 Capital, Munich Re Ventures, Standard Investments, and Zeev Ventures. This strong financial support underscores the confidence in Sentra’s innovative approach to data security.

Advanced AI Security Platform

Co-headquartered in New York City and Tel Aviv, Sentra offers a cloud-native platform that leverages artificial intelligence to enhance data security and governance. The platform is designed to secure data across various environments, including cloud storage, SaaS applications, data warehouses, and on-premises file systems. Its AI capabilities ensure that data is classified, assets are mapped, and access is restricted to authorized entities only.

By implementing least privilege policies, Sentra minimizes the risk of unauthorized data access. The platform also provides automated remediation, revoking access and flagging unusual activities, ensuring that sensitive information remains secure.

Future Plans and Expansion

With the newly acquired funds, Sentra aims to accelerate its capabilities in agentic data security. The company plans to enhance visibility into AI interactions with data, enforce strict identity management, and expand its market reach. Additionally, Sentra intends to grow its marketing and brand presence while exploring new regional opportunities.

According to Sentra co-founder and CEO Yoav Regev, traditional security measures fall short in the face of rapid AI developments. Sentra’s solutions are designed to protect data and manage access, enabling organizations to deploy AI technologies swiftly and securely.

The company’s strategic growth and enhanced security offerings position it as a pivotal player in the evolving landscape of AI and data governance. Sentra’s commitment to innovation and security continues to drive its expansion and influence in the industry.
