HelmGuard Secures .3M to Enhance AI Governance and Security

HelmGuard Secures $7.3M to Enhance AI Governance and Security

Posted on September 9, 2026 By CWS

HelmGuard, a pioneering startup in AI risk and compliance, has successfully raised $7.3 million in seed funding. This financial boost was spearheaded by Infinity Ventures and Frontline, with strategic participation from FinTech Collective, Stage 2 Capital, and Entrepreneurs First.

Innovative Platform for Risk and Compliance

Established in 2024 by John Daley, a former executive at Palantir, and Jack Miller as CTO, HelmGuard is based in the UK. The company has developed a cutting-edge platform for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) and security. This platform harnesses the power of AI to continuously gather and evaluate risk signals from various source systems.

By integrating fragmented compliance, security, and risk data, HelmGuard’s solution reduces assessment cycles to mere hours. The platform efficiently processes unstructured data, documentation, and source systems, offering a streamlined approach to risk management.

AI-Powered Risk Management

The AI agents developed by HelmGuard automate essential workflows, such as risk management, assurance, and control gap assessments. This automation results in a comprehensive and unified view of risks, making the platform a valuable tool for organizations.

HelmGuard emphasizes that traditional vendor risk assessments often fail to account for the dynamic nature of AI integration in products. The company’s AI agents provide current and verified risk evaluations, ensuring up-to-date compliance.

Strategic Use of Funding

CEO John Daley highlighted the limitations of existing compliance platforms, which often focus on documenting processes rather than reaching actionable conclusions. HelmGuard’s approach involves directly sourcing and evaluating risk signals, significantly reducing manual data gathering efforts.

With the newly acquired funding, HelmGuard aims to expand its platform’s reach to more teams and enhance the governance of AI agents in diverse workflows. This development is set to transform how organizations manage and secure AI-driven processes.

As AI continues to integrate into various sectors, HelmGuard’s advancements in GRC and security are poised to set a new standard for compliance and risk management.
