Offroad Secures M Funding to Address Identity Risks

Offroad Secures $7M Funding to Address Identity Risks

Posted on June 4, 2026 By CWS

Offroad, a pioneering company in identity risk management, has unveiled its operations with a significant $7 million in seed funding. Spearheaded by Ibex Investors and Skywell Capital, the company aims to revolutionize how organizations handle identity threats.

Revolutionizing Identity Management

Based in New York and Tel Aviv, Offroad is on a mission to transition businesses from merely identifying identity issues to effectively resolving them. By employing advanced AI technology, Offroad autonomously investigates and addresses identity risks, providing crucial insights to security teams either directly or through automated solutions.

Founded in May 2025 by CEO Dan Bendler and CTO Philip Shteyn, the company draws on extensive expertise. Shteyn, a former captain in Israeli Military Intelligence, brings a wealth of knowledge to the table.

The Growing Complexity of Identity Risks

According to Bendler, the landscape of enterprise operations is rapidly evolving, with an intricate mix of human, machine, and AI identities. This complexity necessitates a sophisticated approach to identity risk management, as traditional methods are proving inadequate.

Shteyn highlights the limitations of conventional identity systems, which struggle to keep pace with the dynamic and expansive nature of AI and machine operations. Offroad’s approach involves continuous monitoring and reasoning of identity activities to provide actionable insights, rather than merely generating alerts.

Offroad’s Innovative Solutions

The company has released an extensive audit of over 2,890 public OAuth applications, revealing significant identity vulnerabilities. Findings indicate that 32% of these apps have at least one structural exposure, such as excessive permissions or dormant publisher domains.

In response, Offroad launched ohauth.ai, a community resource cataloging OAuth apps with excessive permissions and other risks. This tool is part of Offroad’s strategy to address both immediate and latent identity risks that can escalate if unchecked.

By leveraging autonomous agents, Offroad aims to identify and resolve identity issues proactively, ensuring enterprises remain secure in an increasingly complex digital environment.

As identity systems continue to grow in complexity and scale, Offroad’s solutions are poised to play a crucial role in fortifying enterprise security frameworks.
