Cyera to Acquire Oasis Security in Billion-Dollar Deal

Cyera to Acquire Oasis Security in Billion-Dollar Deal

Posted on July 28, 2026 By CWS

Data security firm Cyera has revealed its plan to acquire Oasis Security, a company specializing in agentic access management, in a deal valued at $1 billion. This significant transaction was publicly announced on Tuesday, marking a strategic move by Cyera to enhance its offerings in the realm of AI-driven security solutions.

Details of the Acquisition

According to reports confirmed by Cyera to SecurityWeek, the acquisition involves a payment structure of approximately $700 million in cash, with the remaining amount being settled in shares. This acquisition highlights Cyera’s commitment to expanding its capabilities in managing security within enterprise environments.

Oasis Security has been at the forefront of developing platforms that manage non-human identities and agentic access governance. Their technology, known as Agentic Access Management (AAM), is designed to provide comprehensive visibility and control across critical systems, addressing the increasing integration of AI agents in business operations.

Strategic Impact on Cyera’s Platform

By acquiring Oasis, Cyera aims to create a unified platform that integrates identity and data security, catering to the growing demand for secure AI agent usage. Oasis’ expertise in securing non-human identities will be instrumental in bolstering Cyera’s platform, allowing customers to tackle emerging security challenges more effectively.

Yotam Segev, Cyera’s co-founder and CEO, articulated the importance of this merger by stating, “Understanding your data is just the beginning. It’s crucial to manage who or what interacts with it. By combining data and identity governance, we offer a robust system that controls access for humans, machines, and agents alike.”

Context and Industry Implications

This acquisition follows Cyera’s recent fundraising achievement, where the company secured $600 million, elevating its valuation to $12 billion. In the competitive landscape of cybersecurity mergers and acquisitions, this deal ranks as the second-largest of the year, surpassed only by Accenture’s investment in Dragos for $3.2 billion.

Oasis Security’s recent financial activity includes raising $120 million in Series B funding earlier this year. This acquisition is part of a broader trend, as tracked by SecurityWeek’s M&A tracker, which has recorded 230 cybersecurity deals so far this year.

As the industry continues to evolve, such strategic acquisitions are crucial for companies like Cyera to maintain a competitive edge and address the complex security needs of modern enterprises.
