Osavul, a leader in hybrid risk intelligence, has successfully secured $10 million in a Series A funding round spearheaded by 33N Ventures. This significant financial boost includes participation from Balnord, G+D Ventures, and 42CAP, bringing the company’s total funding to around €12 million.
AI-Driven Threat Analysis
Osavul’s state-of-the-art platform leverages artificial intelligence to scrutinize both open and restricted data sources, aiming to preemptively detect hostile intentions across cyber, physical, and informational domains. This system identifies potential threats targeting clients and aligns these intents with the clients’ personnel, infrastructures, and supply chains.
The company’s analytical processes are rigorously evidence-based and undergo thorough reviews by expert analysts. Importantly, Osavul’s platform is designed to operate on-premises within sovereign infrastructures, ensuring that sensitive data remains within the clients’ systems.
Strategic Growth and Impact
Initially conceived during Russia’s incursion into Ukraine, Osavul now provides its services to government, defense, and security sectors in over ten countries. The company is part of the technology providers for NATO’s Information Environment Assessment Capability, highlighting its strategic relevance.
The fresh round of funding will enable Osavul to further advance its AI capabilities, broaden its outreach to enterprises and crucial infrastructure operators, and strengthen collaborations within governmental and defense sectors.
Addressing Intensifying Hybrid Threats
According to Osavul, adversarial states and their proxies are increasingly engaging in hybrid activities, blending cyberattacks with sabotage, espionage, and information manipulation. The company reports over 150 state-associated incidents across Europe since 2022.
Osavul’s co-founder and CEO, Dmytro Plieshakov, emphasizes the expanding scope of hybrid threats. “These attacks are no longer solely governmental concerns. Industries such as energy, transportation, and finance are now equally vulnerable, often without adequate foresight,” he stated.
Founded by Plieshakov and Dmytro Bilash, who previously sold Captain Growth to Perion, Osavul is poised to fortify its position in the evolving landscape of hybrid threat detection.
