ThreatLocker, a prominent Florida-based provider of zero trust endpoint security solutions, has successfully secured $190 million through its recent Series F funding round. This announcement, made on Wednesday, marks another significant financial milestone for the company.
Funding History and Valuation Growth
Prior to this latest round, ThreatLocker had raised substantial amounts in earlier funding stages: $20 million in Series B, $100 million in Series C, and $115 million in Series D. According to a source familiar with the matter, the company’s valuation in the last funding round was approximately $1.6 billion. The latest financial injection has considerably boosted this valuation, underscoring the company’s rapid growth and market confidence.
Key Investors and Strategic Plans
The Series F funding was led by Elephant, with additional investments from D. E. Shaw Ventures, Arthur Ventures, and Koch Disruptive Technologies. With this new capital, ThreatLocker plans to enhance its product offerings and broaden its international presence, beginning with the establishment of a new office in the United Kingdom. Over the past year and a half, the company has already expanded into Australia and the UAE.
Innovative Security Solutions
ThreatLocker specializes in zero trust endpoint protection, which ensures that only authorized software and AI tools can execute, thereby preventing unauthorized actions. Their platform is designed to thwart fileless attacks and limit the potential damage from exploits by restricting the actions of approved applications, managing user privileges, and controlling network access based on application identity.
Additionally, ThreatLocker’s solutions incorporate policy-based detection and response capabilities, enabling real-time monitoring and automatic responses to unusual behaviors. Currently, over 70,000 organizations globally utilize ThreatLocker’s security solutions.
CEO’s Vision for Cybersecurity
Commenting on the need for a proactive security model, Danny Jenkins, CEO and co-founder of ThreatLocker, emphasized, “Most cybersecurity tools are still built around identifying malicious activity after it has already entered an environment, when the damage may already be done. We believe the better model is to define what is allowed and deny everything else by default.”
As ThreatLocker continues to expand its reach and enhance its capabilities, the company remains committed to pioneering innovative solutions in the fight against cyber threats.
